How to Prevent Keyboard Color Changes

Android Material You Dynamic Theming
💡 In Android 12 or newer, your keyboard and system colors may automatically adapt to your current wallpaper. This behavior is powered by Android's built-in Material You (Monet) dynamic color engine.
If you prefer your keyboard to keep a solid, consistent color (such as pure black or classic dark gray) rather than shifting tint every time you apply a new Kuxel wallpaper, follow the steps below for your keyboard app:
If you use Gboard (Google Keyboard)

Open any app (like messages or search) and tap an input field so that Gboard pops up.

Tap the ⚙️ Settings Gear icon in the top keyboard toolbar (or press and hold the comma
,key and swipe up to the gear). -

In the Gboard settings menu, select Theme.

Under the "Default" or "Colors" section, choose a solid fixed theme (such as Default Dark, Pure Black, or your favorite color) instead of "Dynamic Color" or "System Theme".

Make sure "Dynamic Color" is unchecked and tap Apply.
If you use Samsung Keyboard

Open the Settings app on your Samsung Galaxy device.

Scroll down and navigate to General management → Samsung Keyboard settings.

Tap on Theme or High contrast keyboard.

Select a fixed theme (e.g. Light, Dark, Solid Light, or Solid Dark) to prevent dynamic tinting.
If you use Microsoft SwiftKey

Bring up the SwiftKey keyboard in any app.

Tap the theme palette icon 🎨 Themes in the toolbar (or tap the

Go to the Gallery or Yours tab and select any permanent theme (such as Carbon, Dark, or Minimal).

Global SettingsYou can also configure Android to lock into a static color palette for the entire system:
👉 Go to Settings → Wallpaper & style → Color palette and choose the "Basic colors" tab instead of "Wallpaper colors".
